Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PingGuests handles information for temporary live event links. This page is a practical template and should be reviewed by counsel before high-risk or regulated use.
Information we process
Hosts may provide an event name, optional host name, optional description, and short live messages. Guests may create anonymous session activity when they open a guest link, mark a message as seen, or like a message.
PingGuests uses Firebase Anonymous Auth to create temporary identifiers for host ownership and guest engagement counts.
How information is used
We use event information to generate the host dashboard, guest event page, live message history, QR code sharing, view counts, and like counts.
We use technical information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
Temporary event data
PingGuests is designed for short-lived events. Event links expire 24 hours after creation. Event records, messages, message views, and message likes are scheduled for deletion after that 24-hour expiration point.
Deletion may not happen at the exact second of expiration because background jobs and provider cleanup systems can have normal processing delay, but expired event links are blocked immediately by the app and Firestore rules.
Service providers
PingGuests uses Firebase for authentication and Firestore data storage, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and related infrastructure providers needed to operate the service.
What not to post
Do not post sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or emergency information in an event link. PingGuests is intended for ordinary live event announcements.
Contact
For privacy requests or questions, use the contact page. Include enough context for us to identify the event or request without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
